  We are all responsible for our own lives, blaming the WT for your life being crap is childish and hurts noone but yourself.

  Recovery happens one day at a time by making tomorrow just a little better than today.

  Anyone seen the Secret?

  someone lent me the dvd of the secret over the weekend.

  we watched it last night and i wondered what everyone thought of it?

  i thought that it was very "evangelical" and alot like the jw's - large on promise and small on content.

  I found it very interesting but think it was little more than a new spin on positive thinking, which we all know makes the world a better place right?

  My feeling that it was JWesque came from it being very preachy and full of wonderful claims but beneath the fanfare was nothing but hot air. I was left waiting for the punchline, where was the big secret?

  So if I really believe that I am going to get a fit blonde and a new porsche then the universe is going to give it to me? (not that I want a fit blonde or a new porsche - Mrs SLH is a Brunette and quite fine thankyou very much)

  Positive people have good things happen to them because you attract positive people to you when you put out positivity and from this arises opportunity - no arguements from me there. But to claim that nothing more than belief is required? I think that is hogwash.

  ETA: If absolute belief was enough then armagheddon would have come in '75

  How many SCUBA divers on JWD?

  i have been diving for 23 years.

  i've dove in florida, the caribbean, the graat lakes, and a number of other puddles.. my last major trip was key west.

  any others out there in jwd land?

  I did my PADI open water in the UK with nearly zero viz but did my PADI advanced in Cancun Mexico, which was awesome; I did some wreck penetration dives and some deep reef dives with sharks and eagle rays.

  I've also dived in Malta and Australia, I'm planning on getting some more diving in this summer and buying a whole load of my own kit once I have paid off my credit card.

  i've been invited to join the freemason's.

  the story behind this happening is this.

  i was talking to a guy i know very well, and i noticed he had a masonic emblem {the compass and square} on his ring.

  I am a Freemason and most of what is written on the webpage referred to by Lavender is pure rubbish.

  If you want to learn about Freemasonry, talk to a Freemason; don't listen to the imaginings of conspiracy theorists or people who heard from someone who heard from someone who read a website.

  watchtower has deep roots in demonic freemasonary cult.

  did any of you have more research on it?

  I love the conspiracy theories, I am still waiting to be given the location of the lost ark of the covenant or meet Jesus great great great great grandson.

  Maybe they only give that info when you get to 33rd Degree or have joined the Knights Templar, oh well, I'll have to keep learning my charges for now.

  It was my 35th yesterday, we had a fancy dress murder mystery party which went really well.

  We spent today cleaning the house and throwing away empty beer bottles!
